Do you have time for a Miggy-Moment?

I’m glad you stopped by even for just a little bit.  My name is Miggy and I would love to sit down and talk with you for there is nothing  better than meeting and making friends, talking over happy times and even sad times.  It does not matter how many years either of us has been on this journey, for age is simply a number.  But the experiences we go through bind us together as we reach out and encourage one another.

headshot: miggyI am a mother of six, a grandmother of eleven and a great grandmother of fourteen.  I have authored five books, am a would-be poet but, between you and me I am just one more pilgrim on the journey of life following hard after her God. God has been with me every step of my life, including:

  • the never-ending battle with  my husband’s Alzheimers and Parkinson’s disease
  • the time our own home became the nursing home for my mother-in-law, my own mom, and Bessie
  • the challenge of raising our mentally handicapped daughter, Melissa
  • the slow decline of my body while my mind seems to stay front and center
  • the co-founding in 1965 of a residential school for mentally and physically-handicapped individuals in Pennsylvania -- Melmark -- now serving 200 residents
  • the new life lessons I am learning as I approach my nineties
  • the summa cum laude I received when I finally handed over the car keys

You've been there too, haven't you? Let's share a Miggy-Moment, shall we?
